I'm happy to report I have felt pretty great these last few weeks! I've been really productive at work and have had some holiday fun with the fam. My trip with Jon to Leavenworth was so memorable. It is the perfect place for a holiday getaway if you don't want to travel too far. We loved it so much we're going back next year! Who wants to meet us there? My college girlfriends and I hit a holiday pop-up bar for our girls night out and it was very festive! Sunday we hit Miracle at Big Rock in St Croix Falls. This was our 2nd year there and it does not disappoint. They go all out with the holiday lights. It's a walking trail of lights and themes or you can splurge on the lighted train that travels throughout. They have food trucks, craft vendors, cows and reindeer, firepits everywhere and S'mores kits for purchase. If you want to make a real event of it, you can even rent a cabin or yurt. :) There's my commercial of the day.

I spoke with a client yesterday who shared a story about her relative who had breast cancer a ways back. This relative also had to be on Tamoxifen and was on it for 5 years and has been cancer-free for 20+ years. That story helped my psyche trememdously. It was very encouraging! And while I know each and everyone's cancer story is different and we all handle things differently, it's nice to hear the positive stuff - it's a reminder that there are more positive stories out there than negative.

This Friday I get my port removed - I cannot wait. I'm so ready to be done with that thing in me. I'll be able to work on my shoulder issues that I've had to put off due to the port. I have a nice variety of PT exercises to do that should bring that shoulder some much needed relief.
